Raising broiler chickens efficiently is the key to successful broiler farming

Broiler chickens

Optimal broiler production can only be reached if the climate, feed intake and feed conversion rate, water quality, gut health and respiratory health are all optimal for broiler production.

Elevated temperatures

If the temperature in the broiler house rises, particularly during periods of high humidity, broilers can struggle to control their body temperature. Unlike mammals, birds cannot sweat, and the most common way in which they try to control their body temperature is by panting. Panting has an impact on broiler metabolism, negatively affecting broiler production and performance and ultimately resulting in mortality.
